"One Number....One Call.... One
Hour....We'll take care of it all!"
By: Jerry J. Braklow, President / COO
A new focus is meaningless without a genuine sense of commitment behind it, and
follow-through to live out that commitment every day; on every level. That's why we
promise as a company and as individuals to do whatever it takes to earn your trust
within every home or business we step foot in. Water Works Restoration will bring
peace of mind, but more importantly, you can be confident that we will take care of
all your service needs.
Water Works Restoration traces its origins back to January 2005, when John Braklow and Jerry Braklow, father and son
entrepreneurs, founded a local Kansas City Water Damage Restoration company.
Early in 2005, John Braklow, former President of Water Works Restoration, hired John Alvarez II to become the needed
link to what in now known as, our Emergency Service Division. With John's overall ability to understand expedite
solutions to emergency situations, along with possessing a genuine sense of compassion toward each and every
customer, Water Works Restoration quickly became noticed by insurance providers and our competitors alike.
Late in 2006, Water Works Restoration quickly noticed a niche in the restoration marketplace dealing with mold and
sewage related damage. "It truly amazed us to see how many homes we were called to where one of our
competitors either walked away from sewage or mold damage situations or even performed it so badly that the
homeowner became sick." So with hours of studying and training with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and
Restoration, along with a formal visit by Jeff Bishop and Ruth Travis, (IICRC executive committee members), Water
Works Restoration added its Environmental Division to handle any type of water losses dealing with sewage or mold
damage within commercial or residential structures.
By winter of 2007, Water Works had grown from a single truck operation to a full service water damage and
environmental cleaning firm, employing nine service representatives, contracted by over 2000 customers, and gross
revenues doubling year over year.
Along our growth path, Water Works Restoration has been working diligently refining its operations model to
efficiently position itself within insurance carrier vendor programs. In doing so, this has enabled our mutual customers
a flawless service environment along with the cost saving benefits for insurance partners.
In 2008, we took the next logical step in our successful transformation. Water Works Restoration added our
Construction Division which integrates a seamless solution between our two cleaning departments. With all three
divisions integrated together, we became better than ever. By incorporating our Emergency, Environmental, and
Renovations Divisions together, we have been able to provide a complete claims solution for insurance carriers
nationwide without the downtime, excessive costs, and customer service issues that stem from the claims process.
Today in 2010, as a leader in the Kansas City marketplace for restorative solutions, we remain true to our dedication
for safety, service, and ethical business practices. The dedication of our service employees and strategic planning of
our management staff continues to amaze me each and every day —which undeniably has contributed to the
explosive success we have obtained in a short period of time.
We're excited for the opportunity to serve you and especially appreciate your interest in Water Works Restoration.
Let me be the first to say, "Thank you Kansas City. We'll always be a call away when you need us!"
Sincerely,
Jerry J. Braklow
President / COO
2010: "Sharing a Proud and Colorful History."
